Aussie Racing Cars:
Jaie Robson has taken victory in the final race of the weekend for the Aussie Racing Car Series at the Gold Coast.
James Duckworth nabbed the lead off pole-sitter Kel Treseder at the first corner chicane, while Robson rapidly filtered his way through the pack on the opening lap from his eighth place start.
On lap 4, race leader Duckworth began to drop back through the field with a broken rear shock, handing the lead to Treseder, but before long Robson was in second and challenging the KKP Motorsport driver.
Robson made a huge move up the inside of Treseder at Turn 1, but was sideways through the chicane, making contact with the latter on the exit while trying to defend his position.
Treseder ended up moving by at Turn 4, but a lap later Robson dived up the inside and Turn 11 to re-take the lead, which he would hold until the chequered flag despite major pressure from Treseder behind.
Blake Sciberras rounded out the top three for Western Sydney Motorsport while the top five was completed by Joel Heinrich and Ben Wilcox.
The final round of the Aussie Racing Car Series will take place at the Coates Hire Newcastle 500 from November 24-26.
Ryal Harris has claimed victory in Race 3 of the ECB V8 Utes Series on the streets of the Gold Coast, closing in on the championship with one round remaining after rival Kim Jane was turned around.
The 11-lap race ended under safety car after a major incident involving Matt Nolan, Gus Robbins, Layton Barker and Richard Mork left debris and heavily damaged cars strewn all over the road.
Robbins was involved in a scurry at Turn 12, tangling with Marcus Zukanovic and Maxim Erickson.
As the Peters Motorsport driver attempted to press on, he found himself in the wall at Turn 13, rebounding onto the racing line and getting collected by Nolan.
At the start of the race, Jane seized the lead from Mason Barbera at the first corner, before Harris passed both of them after starting third.
Jane was then spun around at Turn 13 by Barbera, relegating the veteran to 15th, finishing 11th under the race ending safety car.
Harris won the race and round and is now the favourite to win the series for the fourth time when the V8 Utes era comes to a close at the Coates Hire Newcastle 500 on November 24-26.
Liam Lawson has won the final race for the weekend of the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship, heading newly crowned champion Nick Rowe home at the Gold Coast.
Rowe and Simon Fallon touched wheels into the front chicane at the start of the race, with the former taking the lead.
Lawson passed Fallon at the same part of the track a lap later, before a Safety Car was called when Jordan Mazzaroli found the wall shortly after.
There was contact at the restart, when Ryan Suhle got into the rear of Luis Leeds as he squeezed inside of Cameron Shields at the Hairpin.
Lawson got a better run through the Beach Chicane to set up the race-winning move past Rowe at Turn 11 on Lap 9.
Fallon finished third, one position ahead of Leeds, and a wounded Suhle persevered on his way to ninth.
