Holdsworth and Reindler to run ‘split’ retro livery

Preston Hire Racing have uncovered a dazzling split retro livery for their car to be fielded at this months Wilson Security Sandown 500.

The Melbourne based team revealed a 50/50 colour scheme, with one half of the car featuring a pink and white livery based on the title sponsors original branding name Preston Erection.

The other half of the car will have its typical 2017 livery with the yellow, black and white that the team have run for a number of years.

Regular driver Lee Holdsworth will pair up with Karl Reindler for the Pirtek Enduro Cup which begins at Sandown from September 15-17.

Preston Hire Racing team owner Charlie Schwerkolt expects the striking livery and exclusive retro clothing to be worn by the entire team will make them stand out from the crowd.

“The retro car looks really fantastic,” Schwerkolt said.

“It shows the history from where all our partners came from but especially showing Preston Hire’s origins with the old fashioned Preston Erection livery.

“We put our heads together to come up with something different and I believe this is going to be a real stand out for this iconic event.

“Our team crew will look awesome in their retro jackets and hats, it should be a lot of fun.”

Main driver Holdsworth says he is hopeful for a strong result after only just missing out on a top ten finish last year.

“I’m so pumped to kick off the endurance season,” said Holdsworth.

“The Sandown 500 is one of my favourite events and the retro theme adds to the excitement, especially with our cool livery, which will be a big talking point.

“Karl and I were pretty quick in race trim last year so I’m looking forwards to challenge for a top result.”
